Sonia has five grown kids. They all do crochet work and run the business from their small one-bedroom home. Sonia hires other relatives and neighbors to help with work as needed.

The pop tops come from cans collected off the streets.
A typical tank top includes 394 pop tops, the hats about 336! Huge effort goes into preparing the recycled pop tops. Here's what they do:
  • Clean the pop tops several times.
  • Separate the usable from the unusable, which they sell for recycling.
  • Clip sharp edges with pliers.
  • Tamp the edges with a wood tool.

Julio's fingers fly as he crochets this pop top tank. Note the consistent tight weave. Julio models his amazing work. These tanks are incredibly comfortable and look fantastic on both men and women.
